Da Lat Flower Festival is a famous cultural festival, which takes place every two years in Da Lat, and some other localities in Lam Dong province.The festival not only honors the value of flowers but also promotes the cultural beauty of the Da Lat city.
The main stage of the festival is set on the surface of Xuan Huong Lake and Lam Vien square. Besides the opening and closing ceremonies, the festival also features various interesting programs such as flower exhibitions, trading fairs, contests among Da Lat farmers, etc. The festival is a good chance to introduce local specialties such as famous flowers, vegetables, ornamental plants, Da Lat wine and so on.
The first Da Lat flower festival was held in 2005, which attracted around 80,000 visitors. Up to now, there have been 5 Da Lat Flower Festivals organized here. Each festival has its own theme. For example, Da Lat – A destination of colorful flower (2005) or Da Lat – City of thousands of flowers (2010).
In late 2015, the 6th Da Lat Flower Festival is going to be organized here, from 30thDecember 2015 to 3rd January 2016 with the theme of Da Lat – Multitude of flower colors. It’s expected that the festival will attract the special attention from numerous visitors and photographers.
