Cua Van fishing village located in a quiet water area in the heart of Ha Long Bay – one of the World Natural Heritage Sites in Vietnam. The fishermen and fishing families of Ha Long Bay live on small floating houses anchored in sheltered coves at the bases of tall mountainous islands, thus deriving some natural protection from Mother Nature’s wrath in typhoon season
Cua Van is unique as it is the only village with a primary school and a floating clinic. The village is home to generations of fishing families and many of the residents never leave, but grow up and grow old in this tiny unique world they are born into.
Coming to Cua Van, visitors are not only be immersed in a peaceful and tranquil space of scenic natural beauty but also can learn the cultural life of fishermen through fishing activities under the guidance of village girls such as sailing, spreading the nets, fishing …Catching fish, shrimp manually and preparing the meal from their spoils by themselves may be the most interesting things that travellers could experience in Cua Van village.
Tourists might continue to be surprised by unique forms of tourism such as visiting Tien Ong Cave, Ba Ham Lake, hiking… They will be carried by fishermen on wooden boats or coracles.
