When to visit?
The best weather in Binh Lap is in August. However, you can make a plan to Binh Lap from July to September when the weather here is very beautiful, contrast to the terrible rainy weather of Hanoi or Saigon at that time.
How to get there?
To step to Binh Lap beach, firstly, you have to travel to Nha Trang.
From Hanoi to Nha Trang
By Air:
- From Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang: There are 3 domestic airlines Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air and Jetstar Pacific Airlines.
- From Da Nang to Nha Trang, the only one airline running this route is Vietnam Airlines.
By Bus:
- From Hanoi to Nha Trang: you can choose Hoang Long bus or Sinh café (Open tour) bus with the cost of about 850,000 Vietnam Dong (about US$ 43). It takes about 31 hours to get there.
- From Da Nang to Nha Trang: By Hoang Long bus and Sing Café (Open tours) bus, there are 10 hours and the cost of 400,000 Vietnam Dong (about US$ 20)
- From Ho Chi Minh city to Nha Trang: you can pick a sleeper bus of some popular buses, such as Phuong Nam, Ha Linh, Nam Phuong, Phuong Trang, Hanh Café, TM Brother, Ngoc Trang. It costs about 200,000 – 220,000 Vietnam Dong (about US$ 10-11)/ pax for sleeping ticket and 150,000 Vietnam Dong (about US$7.5) /pax for seating one and takes about 8-9 hours to Nha Trang.
From Nha Trang to Binh Lap peninsula
It takes 90km from Nha Trang center to Binh Lap. There are 2 ways to transfer to Nha Trang to Binh Lap:
- If you choose to take a boat: it takes about 2 hours minutes from Ba Ngoi port. Transfering by boat brings you the peace and of the sea, many floating houses along the seaside, the fishing actitivies of local people.
- If you decide to transfer by bus, you will face with many steep slopes. From here, you will have a chance to have a panorama view of the rustic land and its tranquility. The mountain side is coverred by tiny white flowers. Go further, there is a small dame and later on, the green of mountain, of sea stretches with a few simple cottages as far as the eye could see. Then, you stop at the My Thanh market or the gasoline station named Yen Sao Cam Ranh. From My Thanh market, it takes 10km to Binh Lap and cost about 80,000 Vietnam Dong (about US$ 4) per person or you can hire a motorbike for one day with the price of 120,000 Vietnam Dong (about US$ 6).
What to do?
Come to Binh Lap, the main activity is swimming, and relaxing on the beach. However, there are some sites for you to enjoy as below:
The authentic Ngang beach.
This is the first must-see place when you come to Binh Lap. Surrounding Ngang beach, there are many corals near the beach where you can walk to observe it.
The untouchable Lao beach
Lao Beach is very beautiful and natural with the length of 10 km. It is serene all whole year and has so pure clean water sea that you are able to see the bottom of the sea.
Tau Be village
You have a chance to visit the real fishing village here and buy some seafood for your lunch.
What to eat?
Of course, it is seafood. The seafood in Binh Lap is very cheap and you can taste as much as you can.
Moreover, there are some local food like “Banh Canh”, a bowl of the Vietnam thick noodle soup or “Banh Can”, a Mini Fried Rice Pancakes.
