The bus stops were firstly launched in 1990. After 25 years,
these places still work well without any repairs.
Muskmelon is a kind of fruit selected to design the bus stops.
Besides, there are also orange, strawberry, watermelon and tomato.
The bus stop has a sphere -shaped design, inside is arch – shaped
bench sticking into the walls.
The souvenirs relating to the bus stops are also sold well.

The Travel Expo in Konagai named “Nagasaki Journey” and these
16 fruit-shaped bus stops were part of the travel promotion plan of the Expo.
Since then, “the fruit-shaped bus stops” became a feature of
Konagai and were built in 4 more locations whenthe town was merged into the Isahaya city in 2005.
