Love story of Cong and Coc
Nui Coc Lake which was built in 1993, owns 2,500 hectares in surface area, 23 meters in average depth and 89 islets. Traveling to Nui Coc Lake is not just simply to rest but also to immerse in the mystical space of the beautiful love of Cong and Coc.
Legend has it that ‘Coc’, a boy who was born in a humble family, and ‘Cong’, a girl from a powerful bureaucrat family felt deeply in love with each other. Despite their ardor passion, they were not allowed to get married because of the difference in their social class. Feeling desperate and longing for Cong, Coc used his flute sound as a signal to tell Cong to come to his room, but she was forbidden to leave her house. Coc then returned to his home to wait for Coc until being transformed into a mountain, which now surrounds the lake. When Cong heard of her lover’s death, she began to cry then her tears trickling and streaming down and become “Cong” river.

Palace of legends in Nui Coc Lake
This place offers you a chance to hop on a boat made of bamboo and running along the stream of the cave. In this journey, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the cave, hear the whole love story and admire the statues representing the story located in the two sides. This palace is the artificial cave and has approximately 3,000 square meters in area.
